Out of the deepest darkest part of the mouse, Raymond was born. His body was heavy-set and he flew at a slow pace. Despite his slow flying, when he set his sights on something that he wanted he always managed to get it.
A smell seemed to dive him crazy, the smell was rich and foul all at the same time. The smell had him hooked, he was drawn in like two dog in mating season.
After a few minutes he arrived at a brown lump of gold. He wrapped his lips around the foul lump of brown gold and sucked until his belly was full. As he rested his body on the dog crap drunk from its foul nectar. A dark red car swerved down the road. The man in the car had one eye pointing to the sky and the other barely on the road and a tall white can seem to be fixed to his right hand.
Raymond could see the red car rushing towards him. He felt helpless and immobilized. Out of the deepest part of his soul he managed to move his wings. It was all too late for him as the car ran over the dog crap just as he got his wings working. The car carried on driving down the road with a patch of dog crap and a squashed fly on its wheel
What’s on the TV? Oh, it’s this. Where’s the remote. There it is. Where’s my wife when I need her. Not here as always, Swanning off with her girlfriends, I hope. Well it looks like I have to watch this, I know I have seen it twice already but who’s counting. What do you want now? Why are you always rumbling for? I fed you five minutes ago. Why do you do this to me? Okay, okay I’ll feed you, the crisps are here. Hmm, then I got chocolate, cola and sweets. Afterwards I’ll phone the Chinese or maybe the Indian. Well whatever I decide you will be the first to know. Oh. Oh. Oooooooooh, I hope you don’t want what I think you want. Oh, I think you do. Well I hope you know that I’m not moving. Now that I emptied you, what am I going to do with this bucket? I’ll just leave it, she will clean it up. I’m still watching this, oh well. I’ll get the remote when the takeaway comes.
I can’t wait it’s only a few more hours before I land. Can’t wait, can’t wait. I finally get to see dad for the first time. I hope he recognises me. These people need to hurry up, I need my bags. My dad is waiting. I have got to go. Ah the fresh French air with a hint of dog excrement, just how my mother described it. Where did I have to go? Ah, this is the bus. Why can’t these people speak English? Oh, my head is paining me. I think I’m lost but these people don’t understand me and I don’t understand them. Where’s my dad when I need, nowhere to be found. just like the rest of the times in my life. Oh, I wish my mother was here. Oh, I want to go back home. Forget my dad.
What am I going to do today? The same thing I always do. Try to find or make some money so I can eat. Boy, I wish I had done some things differently; I should have been a pilot by now, if it wasn’t for that brother of mine. Why the hell am I thinking about that fool? I miss him though. I wish I could just go up to him and ask him to forget about all the stuff that happened in the past. All this thinking isn’t going to fill my belly. Yes. There’s a man coming this way. I need to ask him for money, but I don’t want to. Stop, stop your damn rumbling. I don’t want the man to hear it. Why are people so stuck up? How do I get out of this situation? If the doctors can’t me, no one can. Someone help me.
Dane walked out of the huge ditch that he created; he whispered to himself “What just happened to me?” in his confused state he ran back to the squire’s quarters pushing all of the trees that stood in his way out of the ground. When he got to the squire’s quarters he shouted “HAYDEN!!!”
Hayden jumped out of one of the upstairs windows. Big bright golden wings shot from his back and he descended to the ground slowly. “Dane” Hayden said in an annoyed voice, “What do you want?”
Dane gave him a blank look and said “I wanted to ask you if you wanted to do a little training with me?”
“Okay, what did you have in mind?”
“Let’s have a fight.”
“Lead the way.” Hayden gestured with his left arm.
Dane took Hayden into a deep part of the forest, somewhere, where there was a huge clearing. “This is where we will fight.” Dane announced.
His limbs broke out into big red patches of bruises, his legs gave way underneath him so he was laying on his back. Sir Peter stood over him and said “That’s enough for t’day come back t’morrow and we will work on strength, speed and accuracy training.”
After lying on the floor for a while he managed to pull himself up to a slow crawl. The princesses picked him up the rest of the way and helped him to his room on the top floor in the squire’s quarters.
Dane sat in a corner in the living area meditating, his skin flashed from a deep black colour then back to normal then back to the deep black colour. Suddenly his eyes opened wide and he ran out towards the field. With his black skin he ran up a tree with ease. He swung through the trees effortlessly, a flash of bright light blinded him in mid-swing and his body started to change colour. A dark red at first, then it change to a bright red. When his hand reached the next branch it snapped in two and he fell to the ground only to create a huge crater.
Sir Peter walked up and down the training room rubbing his chin with his hand. “Okay Bahra, I’ll tell you what we are going t’ do.” He said in a sure voice, “we will do condition training. Princess Teila will you call your sisters to come join us?” Teila ran out the room and came back a few moments later with her sisters.
“Girls” Sir Peter began, “I want each of you t’ pick up a practice sword from the floor and attack Bahra on one of his limbs. So each of you, will have a limb to attack.”
Bahra’s face turned red with worry, “why…w…w…whhhhhhhhhhhhy is this necessary?”
“Like I said earlier. Condition training.” Sir Peter said with a straight face. Bahra stood like he was riding a horse with his arms outstretched, the Princesses on the other-hand held practice swords in there hands like a baseball bat read to be swung.
The Princesses beat up Bahra until his arms and leg shook uncontrollably. The word STOP was held back by Bahra because he knew that he needed to get other his pain threshold, to become the hero that he is destined to be.
Sir Peter hung long thick ropes on the ceiling and wrapped weighted bandages around Bahra’s arms. “First thing I want you t’do” Sir Peter said in a soft voice “is t’ stand on your left foot with both of your hand and your right foot tied behind your back, but I want you to stand on the top of this ladder.” Bahra’s mouth dropped and his eye opened wide as he looked the ladder up and down “Wah… how am I! Going to do that?” Sir Peter looked at him, smiled and said “I’ll be back in half an hour.”
Princess Teila tied Bahra’s limbs together when he got to the top of the ladder. Bahra managed a good five minutes before he tipped and fell to his left. He pried he hand free to stop him from damaging himself. He picked himself up and tried, tried and tried again until he could stand on the ladder for thirty minutes.
Sir Peter watched in secret as Bahra trained with Princess Teila. The smile on his began to broaden as Bahra started to get the hand of balancing. He entered the room once Bahra had mastered balancing on a ladder. “Very good, young prince.” He said with a clap of his hands “Now it’s time for the next part of your training.”
The ground was damp from all of the rain water from the night before. The huge dark trees looked like slimy green silhouettes in the black backdrop of the night sky. I know that slavery is supposed to be dead, but when my master let me go I was like a dog off the leach.
I dashed through the dark trees and the hand-like branches that tried supress me to a halt. Flashes of light in the distance made the hairs on my back stand on edge.
The sound of someone’s slow hoarse breathing and the pounding of their feet reverberated through the dark forest. The light from the flashlights blinded my vision and I collided with him with a snap of my back.
We both fell over into the damp muddy floor below us. My master was close on my tail but the pressure of the man lying on top of me was too much for me to wiggle myself free.
When my master finally caught up with me he rolled over the man, pulled me free and took me home, where I never left again.
Weeks had passed since Bahra fought with sir peter, his leg had now fully healed and he was about to start his sword training. The excitement was too much for him to handle. Princess Teila was waiting for him at the castle grounds at the start of his training. Bahra walked in with his two swords on his back and the sword from Sir Peter at his waist. Sir Peter was sitting on a chair in the training room when Bahra walked in Princess Teila.
Sir Peter stood up “So prince Bahra, today I’m going to take you through some training. The first thing that you need to know is that you do not need your swords.”
Prince Bahra gave his swords to Princess Teila. “So todays’ training is all about balance.” Sir Peter said.
It was a mid-summers day in England, so the sky was a dark grey colour and the clouds were weeping uncontrollably. A tall fair headed man walked into the supermarket; from the moment that my eyes fell upon him my belly sank. Finally he approached me and filled me with all the stuff that I wanted to hear.
We left the supermarket hand in hand; he made me feel like a real man. When we got to his house he told me that he had no interest in me and left me feeling empty. This did not deter my determination to get my man.
Later that day he decided to take a trip somewhere without me. When he came back a woman with long blond hair that flowed all the way down her back was right behind him. The woman gave me a look that was red with fury.
As I sat downstairs waiting for the pair to finish whatever they was doing. I started hearing noises like leather cracking across skin and screems that were heavily muffled. The blond haired woman came downstairs wearing a short leather dress and a whip in her hand. She took me by the hand and we headed back upstairs.
While we were in the bedroom she made me smother the fair headed man with kisses until he could not kiss no more. Kissing him was the best moment of my life but also the worse because after a while he was rejecting me.
It was like a whirlwind the woman picked me up and ran out of the house. She got in her car and drove like a mad-woman possessed all the way to her house. When she got home she when straight to the back garden, picked up a pile of dead branches, she then put me and the branches in a steel drum and set it a light.
That’s the end of my story can you work out what I was. All will be revealed on Sunday the 6th November
Renato sat in his rooms with hundreds of empty bottles around him, a small black caldron sat in front of him. The two staffs that looked stitched to the back of his robe were in his hands. The staffs glowed all the colours of the rainbow. His eyes showed no colour and skin had an odd-ish pale tint to it. Strange word bellowed out of his mouth. The walls started to shake and all the books fell of the shelves that kept them. The staffs dropped out of his and disappeared back into his robe.
He picked up the caldron and emptied the fluid down the drain. He walked over to a shelf that was full of ingredients, he pick five bottles; heron’s blood, phoenix ashes, bats venom, magical water and elf tree sap. This mixture had never been done before so he was unsure of the results. He slowly added each ingredient and stirred it with a careful hand. Once all Ingredients were mixed in, a small smoke cloud of a skeleton appeared and disappeared right in front of his eyes. He rubbed his hands and said out aloud “Ah now that this is done it’s time for me to cash it in and get my date with Princess Maylyn.”
